Speech of Music: Getting to Know Two Cultures of Europe

• Participants: 24 schoolgirls: 12 of them from Lithuania, the others from Spain
• Financial support: 3.725 € for the Lituanian group

Aim of the project:

• Be acquainted with the culture and national heritage of both of the countries and to realize that popular music can unite young people who have different cultural and social backgrounds;
• Organize creative music workshops creating new song and presenting it to the group of the other country, while singing it in Spanish and Lithuanian;
• Meet peers from Spain, be acquainted with their likes and life and to understand that even though the girls are separated by long distances, their speech, culture are different, they have similar dreams, goals in life and hobbies;
• Get to know marvellous nature and city of Barcelona, to visit a well-known sanctuary of Torreciudad, also to sight see many famous Barcelona’s places, for example the renowned architect Gaudi’s cathedral Sagrada Familia, his park Park Güel.
